Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
GreenLight Jerky Company, LLC (“GreenLight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we collect through the GreenLight Jerky website, how we use and share that information, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to information collected through our website, online store, email signup forms, customer communications, and related online services. It does not apply to information handled entirely outside those services unless we specifically state otherwise.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in several ways depending on how you use the website.
- Information you provide to us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, order details, account information, messages you send us, and information you provide when signing up for marketing emails.
- Order and transaction information. When you place an order, we collect information needed to process, fulfill, and support that order. Payment information is processed by Stripe. GreenLight does not store your full payment card number, although we may receive transaction details such as payment status, payment method type, and transaction identifiers.
- Website and device information. Our website and service providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and interactions with the website.
- Cookies and similar technologies. WordPress, WooCommerce, Klaviyo, and other necessary website services may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the shopping cart, remember preferences, maintain sessions, understand website activity, and support email marketing and measurement.
2. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- Process, fulfill, ship, and support orders.
- Communicate with you about orders, deliveries, returns, product concerns, or customer-service requests.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website and online store.
- Detect or prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, or other unauthorized activity.
- Send marketing emails when you have signed up to receive them and measure engagement with those messages.
- Maintain business, tax, accounting, and transaction records.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and property of GreenLight, our customers, and others.
3. Email Marketing and Klaviyo
GreenLight uses Klaviyo for email marketing and related website tracking. Depending on the configuration of our website and your interactions with it, Klaviyo may receive information such as your email address, website activity, purchase activity, IP address, device or browser information, and engagement with emails.
We use this information to manage email subscriptions, send marketing communications, understand customer engagement, and improve our communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. Transactional or service-related messages concerning an order may still be sent when necessary.
GreenLight may use a WordPress form or another website form to collect email signups and transmit that information to Klaviyo through an integration or application programming interface (API). The method used to submit the form does not change Klaviyo’s role as an email marketing service provider.
4. Payments and Stripe
GreenLight uses Stripe to process online payments. Payment information you enter at checkout is transmitted to and processed by Stripe under Stripe’s own privacy and security practices. GreenLight does not store full payment card numbers on its own systems.
We may receive limited information from Stripe that is necessary to confirm payment, process refunds, address disputes, prevent fraud, and maintain transaction records.
5. Apparel Fulfillment and Printful
GreenLight uses Printful to produce and fulfill certain apparel or merchandise orders. When Printful is needed to fulfill an order, we may provide information such as your name, shipping address, contact information, and the products ordered.
Printful processes this information to manufacture, ship, and support the applicable products and may handle the information under its own privacy and data-processing practices.
6. Shipping and Other Service Providers
We may share information with service providers when reasonably necessary to operate GreenLight, including:
- Shipping carriers, such as the U.S. Postal Service, to deliver orders.
- Website hosting, security, backup, and technical service providers.
- WordPress and WooCommerce services and extensions needed to operate the online store.
- Professional advisers or service providers supporting accounting, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or business operations.
We provide these parties only the information reasonably necessary for the services they perform, subject to their own legal obligations and privacy practices.
7. Cookies and Tracking Choices
Cookies are small files stored on your device that can help websites function and remember information. Some cookies are necessary for features such as shopping carts, checkout, account sessions, and website security. Other cookies may support analytics or marketing functions, including Klaviyo website tracking.
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website or checkout from working correctly.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is not a single universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, our website may not respond to every Do Not Track setting in the same way. You can still use browser controls, email unsubscribe tools, and other available privacy settings.
8. How We Share Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the service providers described in this policy when necessary to operate the website, process payments, fulfill orders, deliver merchandise, send requested communications, or support the business.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; when necessary to investigate fraud, security issues, or violations of our terms; or in connection with a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the business.
GreenLight does not currently use the website for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not intentionally sell customer lists or payment information. If our practices materially change, we will update this policy as required by applicable law.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfillment, customer service, accounting and tax requirements, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and enforcement of our agreements.
Different types of information may be retained for different periods. Service providers may also maintain information according to their own retention requirements.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No website, internet transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages.
You may also contact us to ask about personal information associated with you, request a correction, or request deletion. We will review and respond to privacy requests as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests, and some information may need to be retained for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes.
12. Children’s Privacy
The GreenLight website and online store are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it where required by law.
13. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, social networks, or services that GreenLight does not control. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, and this Privacy Policy does not govern their independent collection or use of information.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our website, service providers, business practices, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of the policy shows when the policy was most recently revised. Material changes will be posted on the website as appropriate.
15. Contact Us
For privacy questions or requests, contact GreenLight Jerky Company, LLC using the customer-service contact information or contact form published on the GreenLight Jerky website. Please provide enough information for us to understand and respond to your request.
